Hi there, and thanks for reaching out with these great questions – we appreciate your interest in this wall oven, and we’re glad to advise. The display will show the rising temperature as the oven preheats to the ‘set’ temperature. Once it reaches that temperature, that will be shown until the oven is turned off. We are confident in the accuracy of the temperature reading, and can advise our wall ovens are designed with a temperature range of 170-550 degrees F. We have additional information on the temperature, how to set it and adjust it, etc., in the manual; if that might be useful for you, the manual is available on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.
