Hi zepez - We have great news! The wall oven offers Self-Clean with Steam Clean option. A water line is not required for the Steam Clean option. Steam Clean is intended to clean small spills using water and a lower cleaning temperature than Self-Clean. Simply pour one cup of water into the bottom of the oven, press the Steam Clean pad and then press Start. The Steam Clean cycle is 30 minutes. See Owner's Manual for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-2000253.pdf - Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you do not need a water input ... for steam cleaning you put a cup of water in the bottom the oven. The owners manual explains in detail. Another big box vendor tried to tell me that it was needed and I would incur an installation charge!! So I went to Best Buy and got free installation and delivery with the sale price.
