Hi there - We're so glad you reached out to us about this and we're happy to offer guidance about which range hood will fit your space. This model (JVW5301SJSS) will not adjust to fit a ceiling below 7' 3"; so since your ceilings are 7', this range hood will not fit in your space. In this case, a custom insert vent hood might be a good alternative, such as UVC9300SLSS. It still requires a minimum 24" of space above the cooktop, but there aren't any ceiling-height limitations. It's also important to note that the custom cabinet internal height must be 18-1/2" minimum for vertical venting and 29" minimum for recirculation.
