Q: QuestionCan the Kitchen Hub be connected to a TV antenna or to an external HDMI input?

• A:Answer Hi DrummerBoy - Thanks for considering our GE Kitchen Hub! It does not offer external HDMI input. Using the Google Play Store, you can download all of your favorite entertainment apps. Examples include: Netflix, Hulu or Sling TV (shows and movies) or Pandora, Spotify (music) Allows for picture-in-picture so you can watch TV shows while doing guided cooking. It runs on Android operation system. Q: QuestionHi Just wondering if the screen gets sticky due to extensive cooking or cooking a lot of oily foods !

• A:Answer Hi MK - The Kitchen Hub is equipped with a screen protection system. Since the Kitchen Hub is installed above a cooking appliance that generates heat, steam, and grease, a Screen Moisture Protection System (Air Curtain) protects the screen by expelling small amounts of air around and below the screen to keep the touchscreen area dry and clean. Highlights of the Air Curtain: *Airflow running down the front of the screen pushes the grease and steam away from the unit, while light air flows from the front, at the bottom. *Reduces grease and moisture from condensing on the screen. *The system is on while the screen is in awake mode, and is off when the screen is in screensaver mode or is turned off. Protection from Moisture: * Operating the cooktop while screen protection system is off may result in condensation on the touchscreen. We recommend that you activate the screen during cooking to prevent this from happening. *If condensation build up continues while protection system is active, turn the ventilation fan “ON” to provide additional protection. Q: QuestionIsn't heat and humidity destructive to lcd screens? What has been done to protect the screen?

The system expels small amounts of air around and below the screen to keep the touchscreen area dry and clean by preventing condensation or other substances during cooktop operation. Q: QuestionMy wife has curated 1000's of recipes into word documents. They're all stored on Google Drive. Can she view these on this hub with Google Docs or any other app that supports the .doc extension? Thanks!

Q: QuestionCan this be upgraded from Android 8?.. won't run updated apps.. operating system is already slow and outdated after 2 years
