QuestionIs this Compatible with the GE 590827 36” Element Smooth Surface Cooktop? Can it be vented under a raised house? Can the vent unit be installed under the floor under the house? How soon is it available for pick up in Houma, LA 70360? Thx!

- Answer Hello Peetie - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent downdraft vent. All of our telescopic downdrafts can be used with any of our cooktops. We only recommend looking over the installation dimensions of both appliances to make sure enough room is available in your countertop. The vent can exhaust downward and the ducting can be run under the floor to exit the house. For availability in your area, please reach out to your local Best Buy. Thanks! - John@GEA

Questioncan this 30" telescopic downdraft be installed behind appliances made by other manufacturers? (eg Samsung NA30N6555TS ) if so, are there "seal kits" available?

QuestionWhat’s difference between UVB30SK vs UVB30DK telescopic downdraft system?

- Answer Hello Downdraft, Thanks for reaching out. Great question! The major difference besides the color is in the CFM/sones rating on high speed. On working speed they are the same at 140/2.5. The UVB30SKSS model on high speed is 390/9.0 while the UVB30DKBB model is 370/9.0. We hope this information is helpful. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

QuestionWhat shall I do if the vent system is not working.When I turn on the vent. It will raise up but the blower is not functioning?

- Answer Hi John- We are sorry to hear the venting system is not working properly. To raise the downdraft vent, press the ON/OFF pad on the control. The vent will rise. Press the Fan Speed HIGHER pad to start the blower. Adjust the blower by pressing HIGHER or LOWER.
