“will this work with a conventional oven/stove top where a Jenn-aire with there downdraft system used to be?”

Hi scuba1 - Universal 30" Telescopic Downdraft System UVB30DKBB is approved for use with the following Monogram, GE Profile™ Series and GE® Series cooktops only: 30" electric models, 30" gas sealed-burner models and 30" induction models. It is not approved or designed for use with a range.
