“Oven Light We just purchased this oven and was wondering if the oven light is suppose to turn on when you open the door? It does not on this oven and any other ones Ive seen it usually does so I just wanted to make sure it was working properly.”

Hi-this is Sue from GE Appliances. Thanks for your purchase! Many new ovens today do not have an interior light switch that automatically comes on when the door is opened. An ON/OFF switch operates the oven light. This allows you to turn on the oven light and look through the window at the food without having to open the door. It is located on the control panel.
