A:AnswerThe icemaker will produce seven cubes per cycle, which is approximately 100–130 cubes in a 24-hour period. The number of cubes produced will depend on the freezer compartment temperature, number of door openings and other use conditions. When the bin fills to the level of the feeler arm, the icemaker will stop making ice until the amount of ice decreases. - Julia@GEAppliances
A:AnswerNo, you do not need to call for service to replace the lightbulbs. You can find the instructions for the replacement starting on page 19 of the Use and Care Manual which is linked in the "From the Manufacturer" section of this product page.
A:AnswerIf “Err” is on the display, the filter is not detected or there is no communication with the filter. Verify that you have the XWFE filter and not the XWF. Verify there are no scratches or filter label damage. Replace the filter if the filter label shows damage. Lauren@GEAppliances
A:AnswerHey there – thanks for inquiring about our great side-by-side GEA refrigerators. We checked our catalogue and, unfortunately, we do not offer any side-by-side refrigerators in this size that don’t have a built-in ice and water dispenser. Please reach out to us if any other questions or concerns come up. Take care. Lauren@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thank you for connecting with us about this great Side-by-Side Refrigerator. The icemaker for this unit is able to make 4.5 lbs of ice per day and holds 8 lbs of ice total. We were unable to measure the bin of the icemaker because of the "auger" that runs through the middle of it. We're sorry we're unable to provide this information, we know it is disappointing to not be able to find this out. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate in coming back and letting us know. -Kacie@GEA
A:AnswerHello- Thanks so much for reaching out to us. We are happy to help! The width with the door open 90 degrees is 40-1/4". The width including the handle is 42 1/4". A:AnswerHello- Clearances are measured from the side (case) of the refrigerator. The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees. Most product specifications list the Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees. The depth with the door open 90 degrees is 50 1/2. Please see the specifications in the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=GSS23GGP_GYP_GMP_21.pdf&_ga=2.158953913.2095697884.1647275862-1891068205.1646433146&_gac=1.41668374.1644625706.EAIaIQobChMI39DQi_T49QIVghB9Ch0YowtjEAAYASAAEgLi__D_BwE
Note: If doors cannot open to 90 degrees, access to the drawers can be limited. A door stop is suggested to prevent door or wall damage. Removal of the door bins is required to remove the fresh food drawers. Removal of the ice bucket/bin requires 11 1/4" on the freezer side. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. Thank you! Joyce@GEA
A:AnswerHello there - wonderful question! Yes, this side-by-side also comes in a high-gloss black finish. Its model number is GSS23GGPBB. Let us know if you need anything else - we're more than happy to help out! All the best, Kelsey@GEA
A:AnswerHello- We appreciate your interest in our Side-By-Side Refrigerator. This is an excellent model but it isn't considered a counter depth model. It will fit in a 33" space though. The case depth without the door is 28 1/2 and the case depth with the door, but without the handle is 32 3/4. When adding the handle the depth is 34 3/4. If you are wanting a true Counter-Depth model, please take a look at GZS22IYNFS. It's a little smaller at 21.8 vs 23.0 Cubic. Ft. but it is an actual Counter-Depth model. ~Note: We will request the site be corrected.

A:AnswerHello. We appreciate you reaching out to us with this concern. This model features rollers that can be used to firmly position the unit, ensure it is level, or move the refrigerator away from the wall if necessary. The rollers can be adjusted by turning the adjusting screws clockwise to raise the refrigerator or counterclockwise to lower it (a 3/8” hex socket or wrench, or adjustable wrench, can be used for this). Further information regarding adjusting those rollers is available on page 28 of the Use and Care manual, which can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number. Unfortunately, this particular model does not feature front legs that can be adjusted down to prevent the refrigerator from moving forward; we regret any inconvenience this may cause, and our Design team will be informed of your inquiry for future review and development. If you have trouble preventing the unit from rolling, it may help to place a small wood wedge or plastic furniture coaster under the wheels. If you do so, we recommend re-leveling the refrigerator afterward. We hope this information is useful for you; if you have any other concerns or inquiries, we are glad to offer help any time. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
