Hey there, we really appreciate you taking a moment to reach out to us. Warm or hot air coming from under or behind the dehumidifier is normal and part of the dehumidification process as long as the unit is drawing moisture from the air. When the unit is dehumidifying, the compressor is generating heat as it operates. In order to avoid having the compressor overheat, air is drawn by the compressor at a rapid rate and exhausted from the unit. The warm air will stop shortly after the unit has reached the desired humidity. We hope this information helps! We'd love to have you in our GE Appliances family. - Guy@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably a bit. I use a humidifier in a room with a window unit that is used daily. I use another in a shop/garage setting without ac. It’s not miserable, but I don’t spend much time there. I’m in central Florida. The unit is fantastic at removing moisture on a continuous basis.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the heat from recompressing the coolant goes into the room. If the heat is exhausted outside then you have an air conditioner.
