Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Square footage coverage for a dehumidifier is a function of the rate of infiltration of the moisture in the air. If you have a large relatively air tight basement with good internal air circulation and the walls have been sealed then you could used a relatively small dehumidifier to keep the air dry. If that same basement is unfinished and the walls are not sealed, that same dehumidifier may work but it may run constantly and need to discharge to a drain or you will be going downstairs every 6 hours to empty the reservoir.
