Not sure about the cord. The answer to using this model in an 800 square foot room is dependent on the difference between the humidity setting and the ambient humidity in the room. How often are you willing to empty the tank? And can you lift the full water tank easily to empty it as the larger units have larger tanks. These are questions to consider when choosing your size of unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Power cord is approximately 70” (5’ 10”). I’m using it in my basement which is 30’ x 24’ which equals 720 sq ft. So far, there have been no problems. It works fine.
