Hello there - thank you so much for asking. This dehumidifier does carry the California Prop 65 claim. Please keep in mind that the presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning.
