I purchased my unit in summer of 2020 and just put it into a window for the summer and this same issue occurred. These units have a motherboard issue that GE knows about and if you have passed the warranty threshold, you are out of luck because GE will not assist you. I just posted a review warning everyone about the issue and advising them not to buy these air conditioners.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is too late I’m sure but, mine does that but you have to press the on button again. So it beeps, then press again and it goes on! Don’t know why it does that but it does. It’s a shame they just couldn’t have told you that. It prob says it in the instruction manual.
