• HI - Thank you for having chosen a GE air conditioner for your home. It is normal for the air conditioner to turn off (cycle off) completely once it reaches your desired temperature setting. The unit will then cycle back on when needed to maintain your desired temperature. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA
