“Will this 8000 BTU unit be too big for a room that is 12'x12'? I really like the idea of the WIFI feature but can't find a unit under 8000 btu with this feature.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s actually perfect for a room that size. It may seem big at first but it actually cools it a lot faster. I have a 11x10 and thought about getting a small one until a person recommended this one.

Please try again later.In my humble opinion yes, the fan speed is going to be a bit higher than you may like for a smaller room, my room is 14’x17’ and the airflow is much higher than the smaller unit it replaced. If you use the ECO setting, this will actually shut off when the desired temperature is reached.
