Hi Tony. Thanks for reaching out to us. An air conditioner will pull air from inside the room, filter it, and blow cool air back into the room. Any heat from the unit is expelled outdoors through the back of the unit. You can attempt to place the unit on High Fan Speed to see if this helps with the odor that you're smelling.
