A:AnswerHi there, thank you for reaching out. The "Freezer " adjustment button will continue to increase the temperature until it reaches 5 degrees Fahrenheit, then it will cycle to its lowest maximum temperature and count up. In other words, it only goes in one direction and then repeats. In your case, we would recommend pressing the button continuously until it cycles back to 0. This is also the case for adjusting the refrigerator temperature. We hope this clears things up for you, and please feel free to let us know if there are any other ways we can assist you in the future. -Elliot@GEA

A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We truly hate to hear your actual temperature is not reflecting the set temperature of your refrigerator. We know that must be concerning, and would like to assist. If your refrigerator is new, it may take a couple days to cool down to the set temperature. You might want to check that the refrigerator door is closing completely and the gasket has no gaps or tears that may be preventing a proper seal. The door also shouldn't be opened too often, if possible. Making sure the unit has proper air clearance and has a reasonable food load also helps to ensure it cools enough. We have an article on our GE website titled 'Refrigerator - Not Cooling Enough' with additional troubleshooting steps, if you'd like to reference that. Our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737 if you are not able to resolve the cooling issue, and a technician would be glad to help resolve. We hope this issue is fixed for you soon, and are happy to help if you have any other questions or concerns. -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerI just received my new fridge in black slate and put up my magnet hooks from the old fridge. They're heavy-duty from Amazon and stick perfectly.

A:AnswerHi Vishnu, thanks for reaching out! Your warranty for your appliance begins from the date of original purchase. After you install your refrigerator, we would recommend waiting for 24 hours for the interior of the unit to reach the proper temperature before beginning to store food inside of the unit. We would recommend attempting to install the unit shortly after purchasing if possible. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

A:AnswerHi Brendasensei - Thanks for considering GE Model GFE26JSMSS! On this model, the finish is not fingerprint resistant and would be the same as your current GE stainless steel appliances. The Slate finish will compliment stainless steel, however mixing appliance finishes is a personal preference.
We suggest considering our GE® ENERGY STAR® 25.6 Cu. Ft. Fingerprint Resistant Stainless French-Door Refrigerator Model #: GFE26JYMFS. Our new Fingerprint Resistant Stainless offers a clear coat that allows the shine of the stainless to show through. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

A:AnswerYou need to prime the line to get the air out of it. This is done by holding the water release for at least 30-45 seconds. The very first time you may see dark, uncleared water but it will eventually become clear.
