  • QuestionIs this made in USA?

    Asked by MikeW.

    • Answer Hi MikeW - Thanks for viewing GE Model JVX5360DJBB! The hood is manufactured globally and not in the USA. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

  • QuestionCan this be wired with a cord and plug to an outlet?

    Asked by thecadillacboy.

    • Answer Hi LG, thanks for reaching out! These vent hoods must be supplied with 120V, 60Hz, and connected to a properly grounded branch circuit, and protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse. Wiring must be 2 wire with ground. If the electrical supply does not meet the above requirements, call a licensed electrician before proceeding. Route house wiring as close to the installation location as possible in the ceiling or wall. Connect the wiring to the house wiring in accordance with local codes. All of this information can be found on page 14 of your installation instructions. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
