Hello- We appreciate your question and are happy to help! Both models are 36 inches in width but the height and depth are different. The ZVB model was 8 1/2 x 36 x 2 1/4 the UVD models is 7 x 36 x 7. The height from bottom to where it sits on the counter is greater, which meant that the floor vent at the bottom of my center island, which is round, there wasn’t enough room or clearance between the bottom of the downdraft to attach the rectangle aluminum vent connector that connects the downdraft to the exhaust vent. The installer had to cut down that piece and tape the heck out of it to get the new downdraft to connect using that transition piece of aluminum that goes between the downdraft and the hole. Also, because it’s taller, to connect the existing power source was impossible. Whereas with the old vent, you could still reach under it to plug the power in. Not with the new one. And I don’t know if they fixed the specs yet, but as of July 2021, the dimensions in the specs linked to the product were incorrect.
