“Can I manually set the water depth/fill? I sometimes wash small loads and don't want to waste water. I also want to set it and go rather than waiting for it to fill to turn it off. Thanks.”

Hi djlg- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! This washer features Precise Fill. This selection automatically provides the correct amount of water suited to the size and type of load placed in the unit so no water is wasted. It also features our popular Deep Fill option. Select the Deep Fill feature for loads where extra water is needed. Press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add an incremental amount of water to the wash load. Holding the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible. The Deep Fill button can also be pressed after the washer has completed filling and is in the wash phase if additional water is desired. The Speed Wash option is ideal for small loads of lighting soiled items that are needed in a hurry. Don't forget to view matching dryers GE® 7.2 CU. FT. Please try again later.You can not set the fill Mark or amount of water other than the selection of DEEP FILL and that's only on certain loads that allow you to use DEEP FILL. But when you just choose a regular wash setting and then fill the washer with the clothes or items you want to wash and then start the load.... the water level will work/fill up as an HE washer and fills only to the amount needed for that load amount to be water efficient. I hope this answers your question. We like ours a lot compared to the other washers with no Deep FILL option and no agitator.
