• You have to put the detergent in first, then put in your clothes. There is no specific place to put detergent in. Bleach has a specific place as well as the softener. This washer is a little noisier than we were used to.

• You put the detergent in the bottom of the tub. There is no dispenser for anything except bleach. I would not recommend spending money on this washer. I have now had two and neither worked properly.

• Hi Kathy, With this washer the detergent is added to the water. I pour it in as the washer is filling with water. Myself, I don't favor the washers with the dispensers in them as undiluted laundry soap get hard and clogs when it dries. Have a nice day ! Ken
