As with any washer, clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. We had a Kenmore before and even though the washer is in the garage we were able to hear the old one, not so with this new machine. It's very quiet and does an excellent job.
