“Does the lid have soft close as to where it don't slam shut?”

This does not have a soft close. I think it is a great washer.

Hi Anon - Thanks for considering GE Model # GTW335ASNWW! This model does not have a soft close lid. Available on select top-load washers, the soft close glass lid uses hydraulic technology to allow the lid to open to various angles, then close gently every time. Great for tight spaces where the lid may be blocked by a shelf or cabinet installed above the washer. It does have a soft close; no need to slam the lid. It is a great washer.

No it does not. It will slam if you don't close it softly. However, it is an excellent washing machine and this is not a problem for us.
