Hi Jeani - Thanks for considering GE Model GTW335ASNWW! The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. On this model you can choose PreciseFill (the washer senses load and adds just the right amount of water) or manually select any water level for maximum cleaning performance. The Max Fill (Normal Cycle) fills with approximately 24.5 gallons and measures approximately 11.5" from the bottom of the basket. The heavy-duty agitator thoroughly rotates and directs the clothes/items through the wash water. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/EUye10ayYnU?rel=0 - We'd love to have you in the family. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The GE washer just purchased has selectable fill levels close to the top of the tub for large loads - don't know the volume though...
