The limited manufacturer’s warranty lasts for a year from the purchase date, and would apply to any part of the washer that fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship. During the warranty, labor and related service to replace a defective part will be free of charge, as long as the issue falls under the warranty coverage. There is also a ten year warranty for the motor specifically, if it fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship. During that additional limited warranty, the consumer would be responsible for labor or service related costs. More details regarding the warranty are available on page 29 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.
