“On the GE GTW680BSJWS washer, what is the "extra rinse" option supposed to do? I thought it would repeat the spinning rinse, but it seems to do a fill rinse. How is it different from "Deep Rinse"?”

Deep Rinse is more water in rinse cycle. Extra, I'm not sure, but I think that's a 2nd rinse-to wash out any soap residues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Myke- If Deep Rinse is selected, it will be a fill rinse. It repeats the first rinse. So, if you select a cycle, select Deep Rinse, and also select Extra Rinse then the washer will wash, complete a fill rinse, and then go into a second fill rinse. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
