• Hi mynsmeisnoname- Our newer washers are painted with a new process called Armor Guard on the lid and cover. This new paint finish provides a bright, shiny finish, provides excellent coverage and drastically reduces the chance for rust to develop. Also, the entire washer is also galvanized steel for further rust protection. The stainless steel tub is rust resistant. We hope you'll place your trust in us! SUE@GEA
