“This washer is specified to be 27" deep. How much additional space behind the unit is required over and above the 27"? Specifically, how much additional space is needed to accommodate the input water lines and the return hose? Thanks!!!”

You ask how much more room is needed, can't answer that question not knowing what your existing washer size is. I can tell you that I replaced a Kenmore washer with this one and it actually took up a little less space. Best thing I can tell you is get the measurements and measure the space you're going to put it in,

About 3/4” inches is all that’s required. Could probably cut that down as long as your not kinking the line.
