No the lid locks once the cycle starts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't leave the lid open during fill and and auto soak cycles. You can hit the pause button and stop during the middle of the cycle if you need to add additional clothes to the load.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this top-load washer. We appreciate your interest and can advise the washer will not start if the lid is open except on the Bulky cycle; this is a safety feature that prevents the washer from agitating and spinning when the lid is up. During the load sensing portion of the cycle, the lid is locked; however, there is a Pause option that allows you to open the lid if you need to add an item. The cycle won't start again until the lid is closed and you press Start. We hope this clarifies the matter, and are happy to help with any other questions or concerns. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
