QuestionMy old GE XL44 heats up my whole kitchen when I use the oven. It also heats up on top of the range thru the burners. Handles of my pots get hot also. Does this new one do that?

- Answer Thanks so much for being a part of the GEA family! We know things can heat up while cooking so we're happy to help. All ranges of exhaust vents somewhere on the appliance. This model has vents located at the rear of the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven door, and at the bottom of the range under the broiler drawer. If your kitchen gets warm, we recommend ventilating it with open windows or an exhaust hood above the range. - John@GEAppliances

- Answer Hi Murph - Our ranges meet all standards set by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). UL evaluates external temperature limitations for ranges. The front and sides of a range can vary from 152 to 212 degrees F., depending on the materials. There are currently no temperature limitations for the horizontal surface, or cooktop, of a range. Complies with maximum allowable wood cabinet temperatures of 194F. QuestionI'm a little puzzled?? I just upgrade my oven, which is the same oven, but the knob of the oven is now in the stove's top panel, which houses the clock, light etc. My question: does the oven suppose to have a pull out drawer? I have a rack.

- Answer Hi there, CMoore - Great question! This range has a broiler drawer. The broiler drawer is a broiler compartment which allows you to toast, darken, and broil your food - supplies a concentrated heat for crisping and browning. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla
