We are glad to advise an Ethernet connection would not be required; you can connect using WiFi. Once you are connected, you can use the SmartHQ app to start, stop and monitor your laundry from anywhere, and receive notifications and updates; you can also connect to Alexa if you wish. If you press and hold the WiFi pad for 3 seconds, you can get started with activating the connection. There is also a WiFi Connect section on page 14 of your manual, with further details on setting this up.
