Not sure I can answer your question, but I got stuck at the end of a whash cycle and couldn't get out. Turns out, I may have touched the lock control button and all I had to do was to hold it down for 3 seconds to recycle, but there was nothing in the booklet troubleshooting section that addressed this.

Sorry-we’ve only had ours for two weeks and this hasn’t happened to us If you have the geek squad extended warranty with Best Buy I’d call them or call GE customer service. Good luck.
