Hi Mark - Thanks for viewing GE! Most king comforters/quilts will wash properly in our washers as long as the comforter/quilt fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed in the tub tightly. The thickness, density, and overall size of the comforter should be taken in account when deciding whether to wash the comforter in a washer. Also, installation requires basic mechanical and electrical skills and completion time is generally 1-3 hours.
