• A:Answer Hi there, we appreciate you finding the time to reach out to us. The oven can't be lit when the power is out, but the cooktop can. On gas ranges and cooktops, you can light the burners with a match. Hold a lighted match to the burner, then turn the knob to the "LO" position. Use extreme caution when lighting burners this way.
