Not sure. My installer said, before first use, to run the oven for 45 minutes and that it would have a bad odor only the first time.

There is a slight chemical smell that may occur the first couple times our ranges do a self-clean. This smell is the acrylic binder we use on the heat insulation in the walls of the oven. This is harmless and has been tested extensively. We recommend running the self-clean cycle for a minimum of 3 hours. The 3 hour self-clean will help to dissipate the odor and smoke.
