• Yes, the light comes on when you open the oven door. There is also a button to push to turn the light on when the door is closed. Not part of your question, but you should know the only draw back we have found is that it doesn't beep very loud at all when the timer goes off and there appears to be no way to turn up the volume. Have had this stove for 3 months.
