A:Answeri have this exact model and it is not an option listed for me. it is very disappointing. wife and i purchased a house and it came with the 850 washer and dryer. nice looking, but we feel our LG washer and dryer had better features, and since we kept them from the last move, are very close to replacing them and selling the GE's.
i do see someone wrote that that if they run the "Ultrafresh Vent" cycle and it determines that there are clothes, it will run "Tumble Dry". That may be true, but it appears one has to go and manually start that cycle after the original wash cycle is finished. With an LG it is just a button i push, "Fresh Care" to add to my laundry cycle automatically after it is done. This is much more handier if i have left the house for awhile and cannot tend to my laundry.
If there was a way i could add/run GE's "ultrafresh vent" cycle so it starts automatically after a wash cycle, that would be 100% improvement.

A:AnswerHello DrainPan,
Thanks for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in this GE Appliance. We'd be glad to help you with finding accessories for this washer. We found that for this model, as long as the pan has dimensions greater than 28" Width x 33" Depth, it should fit this washer appropriately. For our front load models, we recommend PM7X2.
We hope this information helps. Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions or concerns!

A:AnswerHello Tom,
We appreciate you reaching out. Great question! You can use washing discs (pods) with this washer. For this model, throw the disc directly into the wash basket and follow the detergent manufacturer's instructions. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerI got a GE set in May of 2020 and they are working great. I didn't know I need a washer pan for the washer so we don't let it spin past medium speed or it will start walking. No noises to be concerned with so far.
A:AnswerHi jeffb, good question! Based on page 21 of this unit's installation instructions, we're seeing the following about drain requirements: The standpipe height above the floor should be: Minimum height: 24” (61 cm), Maximum height: 96” (244 cm). We hope this helps! Best wishes. -Michael@GEA
A:AnswerHello Jeff - Thank you for your interest in this excellent new washer. The drain or standpipe should be at least 24" off but no more than 96". So 8 feet will be the maximum height for the drain. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
