Q: QuestionIn the event of spills or boil-overs, is there a lip around the edges of the cooking surface to help contain liquid spills? Or is the cooking surface entirely flat, right on to the edges?
Asked by helaurin.
- A:Answer Completely flat to the edge with no lip. I will say that induction burners are immediately responsive to temp adjustments unlike typical electric burners.

Q: QuestionHi, I see this doesn't have a warning drawer. Does it have a storage drawer under the oven? Also....does it have warning lights to tell you that burners may still be hot? If so, what are they like? (warning on control panel or cooktop itself?) Thank
Asked by mch1.
- A:Answer Yes, there is a storage drawer on the bottom under the oven. There is a small red light on the control panel that lights up when the cook top surface is still hot.

Q: QuestionReading about induction stoves in general, one complaint is that there's a lot of beeping. I read that this range is "sabbath compatible." Does that mean I can shut off beeping permanently? (Not for sabbath reasons but just because I dislike extra noise.)
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello. Thank you for your inquiry; we are happy to help! This range model has a sound volume control feature. You can turn off the beeping by accessing the sound volume and turning it off in the Special Features. We appreciate your interest! Thanks for checking. Olga

Q: QuestionIs there a burner that will support 9” and 11” pans or pots? I’m referring to the bottom of the pan/pots.
Asked by Doug.
- A:Answer Hi Doug - The elements sizes are as follows: Left Front 8"; Left Rear 8"; Right Front 11"; Right Rear 6"; Center 6" (100W Warming Zone). 9" pots/pans can be used on the 8" burners. For best performance, match the pan size to the burner size since heating will only occur above the element. The further the pan extends, the less the burner will perform. Square pans will work, although round pans that match the induction coil sizes work best. Cookware should make full contact with the glass surface and be magnetic. You might want to pair with GE Profile™ Series 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9005SJSS. It provides cooktop lighting and the four-speed, 400CFM venting system removes smoke, steam and odors. Thanks for considering GE! Sue

Q: Questionwhat is the difference between slide in and free standing? Thank you
Asked by Michelle.
- A:Answer Hi Michelle- The slide-in models with front control design allows you to showcase a solid backsplash visual without being broken up by a control panel (free-standing). Give your kitchen an overnight makeover by replacing your old freestanding range with a GE front control slide-in range. Q: QuestionCan you use regular pots with an induction oven or do you have to buy special pots and pans to use the stovetop or oven.
Asked by Rene.
- A:Answer Hi Rene - Compatible cookware for induction cooktops should be made of magnetic stainless steel, enameled steel, cast iron (works well but may scratch the glass unless it is porcelain coated) or a combination of these materials. The key to testing workable cookware is that a magnet must be able to stick and hold to bottom of pan.
