“I am debating between GRF40HSVSS and this(GRF500SVSS) model. I don't really need 5 burner range. I wonder since GRF500SVSS is a newer model, were there any improvements made to build quality and materials used over GRF40HSVSS?”

These models were introduced at the same time and are part of our latest cooking product line. The GRF500SVSS model also offers Crisp and Warm cooking functions not offered on the GRF40 model. -Vikki@GEAppliances
