- Answer Hi. The glass top has dots and does not feel smooth. It does not have lines like some glass tops. It cleans well.

QuestionI'm selling cakes as a side job from home, I see the need to expand my production that's why I'm thinking on buying a range with convention oven, could I use all the racks, at the same time, on this oven to bake all at once?

- Answer Hi Teal - Thanks for reaching out to us! We recommend to wash the racks with warm, soapy water. The standard oven racks / shelves are chrome plated and can be cleaned in a self-cleaning oven; however, it is not recommended since they may discolor and lose some of their luster. They typically discolor to a deep gray after self-cleaning. To keep the luster, the racks should cleaned with soap and water rather than cleaned in the oven's self-cleaning cycle. Commercial oven cleaner may used for the racks, but some cleaners cause discoloration. Be sure to do a small test area to check the results, and rinse the racks thoroughly after cleaning. - Answer Hi John - GE® 30" Slide-In Electric Convection Range JS760SLSS fit into standard 30-inch cabinet cutouts like a free-standing range, but with a more custom built-in look. Unlike the free-standing ranges though, electric slide-in ranges have no backsplash, which provides a more integrated appearance. Controls and panel display are on the front of these ranges. - Answer Hi Gee22- On model JB750SJSS (Full-Wrapped Stainless Frame), the stainless steel on the door wraps around the side of the door. On JB700SJSS, the sides of the door are dark gray. Keep in touch! Sue

- Answer No it does not. The range I replaced was a Frigidaire and the steam did run upward and come out the control panel as you have mentioned. This GE range/oven does not do any of the bad things that the Frigidaire did. I have broiled, baked at 475-500 and there has been no steam visible coming out like it did in the Frigidaire. I also did not like the ruined finish on my panel and there is nothing that would clean or fix it. My Frigidaire oven door also changed color like the panel did. I do recommend this GE range. It cooks and bakes much better than the Frigidaire ever did.

Questioni live in NYC and the voltage here is 220. I see this stove is rated at 240VAC. Is this going to be a problem with the stove or do I need to have different coils installed? Thanks. Scott

- Answer All electric appliances sold in USA have been designed to work with 208/240 V and 220 V is within that range. Electric coils have been designed for maximum voltage of 240 V. Nominal Wattage mentioned in the specs is when connected to 240 V only. What you have to keep in mind is due to law of Ohm, the lower the voltage , the lower the wattage. So when connected to 208 V you lose 25% of Wattage and when connected to 220 V you lose 15%. Manufactures unfortunately do not make special coils for 208/220 V for very large number of reasons. Primary reason is new 2010 edition of NEC (National Electric Code) and fire safety. Hope this helps.
