  • QuestionHi, Thanks for answering question about cast iron skillets. I should have also asked if enameled cast iron pots (like dutch ovens) can be used?

  • QuestionNew ranges are incredibly noisy. Since this can be switched to traditional bake (vs convection) is it any quieter?

    • Answer Hello malu, Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about your range being so noisy. We can understand how that would be frustrating. What you are hearing is the convection fan. The convection fan is normal and will turn on to maximize cooking evenness. This feature can not be turned off.   • QuestionCan I use my cast iron skillet on it?

    • Answer Hi there - Great question! Cast iron cookware is not recommended. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. Thanks so much for asking! -Mikayla

    • Answer There are 5 burners. The two in the from have two different sizes to use. Front right 11 inches and 8 1/2. Left side is 9 inches and 6. Two back are 5 inches. The fifth burner is keep warm only.

    • Answer Hi Escape - Our cooktops are made of a tough glass ceramic material that is made to withstand scratches with normal use. Sometimes marks may appear on the glass ceramic that seem to be scratches, but are really just marks from a pan and are able to be removed by cleaning. The glass ceramic cooktops are scratch resistant, yet not scratch proof. Check the bottoms of the pans that you use for any rough spots or burned food pieces. The bottoms of the pans should be a "smooth" flat surface.
