Hello... I came on this thread to see if I could change out the sensi-temp coils to regular ones. I own this stove and I HATE the sensi-temp feature. The heat is inconsistent, it takes much longer to boil water for pasta or rice. You can FORGET about searing anything! Not a steak, chicken breast, or piece of fish. Your food ends up just barely simmering until the burner decides to cut back on. I have all new cookware, so the button contacts the bottom of the pan. So far, my solution has been to turn on every burner and move the pan to a new burner to cook my food through. I understand you have a job to do Sue, but I'm just sharing my truthful experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This “technology” is terrible. I cannot even boil water to cook pasta or blanch vegetables. If this is so “new” why does induction get water boiling in a snap. I think you have some work to do on sensi temp. Do not buy. It’s a waste of money.

Please try again later.The worst technology ever, I have a severe back problem which developed just standing and waiting for the food to cook with this awful technology. there are 100's of websites complaining about the same. Do something about this not give explanations about new regulations from 2018. There is no solution either other than getting new pans-not accepatable Fed up.

You will not be able to make a grilled cheese sandwich, cook an egg, or sautee vegetables without a cast iron pan. It should be a crime to sell something like this in this country. I think this came from the same joker who designed the new gasoline cans with no vent. Nanny government working hard to protect the public. Replacing the coils is much cheaper than buying all new frying pans. Do this and you will have a nice range.

I live in an apartment and unfortunately cannot replace the stove . I would never recommend this feature to anyone buying a new stove!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Horrible!! I’m a chef and I know how to cook!!! These sensi coils avoid at all costs!!! The high doesn’t stay high once your pan gets hot. For those of us using cast iron or Le Cruset - forget it! You just start to get the sear on your chicken or steak and the coil goes cold. Ridiculous

Which ever type of cookware you are using, this is worthless. Should have never left the gas stove! Easy on, boils, cooks with no aggravation! Run don't walk from this type of stove.

Please try again later.Bought a coil stove same problem who ever gives explanation to this poor technology must not cook at all I had bought a coil stove for my daughter and she complained of same not knowing why never addressed this issue it was only when I was going to by another stove for the cottage that the sales person informed me of this I will never by another coil top stove and now that I am stuck with other one I am more upset What ever explanation one gets of this great technology it does not justify me purchasing another of same . Just a tip to prevent grease fires never leave a stove unattended when cooking with grease or other .
