Q: QuestionWe are moving. My wife loves her GE freestanding 3 yr old electric range, particularly that the burners can be set for small or larger burner and a red sensor light if oven top still hot after cooking. Which slide in model have these features? Thank you.

Q: QuestionYour answer really doesn’t help me. We had a GE repair person come this week and went to Page 11 to regulate the volume. HE could not. HE called into the GE company and was told that this model’s volume could not be changed. GE should not sell this.

Q: QuestionThe stainless steel panels have many fine scratches all over. How can this be removed? I’ve only used a regular sponge so not sure why this has happened. Is it normal for it to be so sensitive?

Q: QuestionWe are going to buy 2 of these stoves for our clubhouse, can we place the 2 stoves side by side? Or do we need a barrier in between them?

• A:Answer Hi Dan - Overall Height of 37 1/4 inches includes the oven vent trim piece at the rear of the cooktop. Height to Cooking Surface is 36 inches (+ 1/2" / - 1/4") with leveling legs. It cannot be adjusted to 39"H. Q: QuestionIs there a vent at the back? Our existing one is 25.5 " and all of the new ones are 2 to 3 inches above that. We have formica and a curb at the back of the current range.We will have to cut in or it will stick out too far and want it to look good.

• A:Answer Are you saying your cooking surface is 25.5” above the floor? That sounds wrong. Too low. Did you mean 35.5”? Our cook top is 36” above the floor. The vent at the rear rises about 3/4” above the cook top. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer Hi Lakecat - Thanks for considering GE Model JS645SLSS! We can certainly understand your concern having a cat around. The control panel can be locked by simply holding the Lock Controls pad for 3 seconds.
