Hi Ventilation- Most range or cooktop models do not require a ventilation system; however, we recommend checking the local residential codes in your area to see if one is required. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also had an electric stove with no ventilation before purchasing my gas stove. You do not need a ventilation in the home for the gas stove but you will need a plumber to install a gas line if you do not have one. I am assuming this since the stove was electric. The ventilation system is only needed if you have a vent/hood. You can even buy a ductless hood. So you won’t need to make any holes for a ventilation system.
