“Hi...following up on an earlier question about dimensions: the dimensions note a height of 39.25". Virtually all countertops are 36" - does the cooktop start at 36" and the grates, etc add the additional 3"?”

Hi - Thanks for checking back with us! The overall height of 39 1/4" includes the oven vent located at the back of the cooktop (Rear vent is 3 1/4"). The height to the cooktop surface is approximately 36" and fits nicely with 36" countertops.
