QuestionHello Wendy, Previous questioner asked about 30" width vs the 31.25" width. You said the cooktop was 31.25" and the body of the unit 30", but you didnt say if the cooktop starts higher than 36 inches. Will it fit a space 30" wide with counters 36" high?

- Answer Hi therichster, This is Lisa from GE Appliances. I am happy to help. This model has a 31.25 inch overhang, which will sit on the counter. The range can be installed to fit a counter 35 to 36 1/2 inches off the floor,and will fit a 30 inch wide space. We appreciate you checking with us.

- Answer Hi Leslie- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! Yes, the oven features Broil Hi/Lo. The Broil Hi-Lo pad gives you the capability of reducing the oven temperature during the broil function. Hi Broil: Functions at 550 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives a quicker broiling to sear in natural food juices. Lo Broil: Functions at 450 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives a slower broiling to ensure doneness without drying out the food. On gas models, the gas flame height is the same for Hi and Lo Broil. The flame will cycle off more often when set to Lo Broil. Thanks for checking with us!

QuestionHi...following up on an earlier question about dimensions: the dimensions note a height of 39.25". Virtually all countertops are 36" - does the cooktop start at 36" and the grates, etc add the additional 3"?

- Answer Hi - Thanks for checking back with us! The overall height of 39 1/4" includes the oven vent located at the back of the cooktop (Rear vent is 3 1/4"). The height to the cooktop surface is approximately 36" and fits nicely with 36" countertops. QuestionCan burners be lit when power goes out?Can the burners be lit manually in the event of a power outage?

- Answer Hello rachela56 - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. In the case of a Power failure, you can light the surface burners with a match. - Answer Hello retired - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. All cooking products meet UL (Underwriters' Laboratories) safety standards. Underwriters' Laboratories have evaluated external temperatures for ranges and have communicated the acceptable external temperatures for a range product. Surfaces below 36" can get as hot as 182 degrees on plastic surfaces. We recommend checking with your countertop maker to verify the countertop can withstand these temperatures. I hope this helps! QuestionIs this CSA approved?I live in Canada but cannot get this range in slate up here. Wondering if this is CSA approved and if the warranty would extend to Canada.

QuestionSide panel kit for JGS750DEFWWI am interested in purchasing the GE slide-in gas range, model JGS750DEFWW. However, I want to install the range at the end of a cabinet, not between cabinets. This means that there is a cabinet on only one side. The other side is exposed. Do you sell a side panel kit in white that can be mounted onto this range? This way the side that will be exposed will have a cosmetic finish. Can you please provide me the model number of a kit, if you sell it and where I can purchase it? Thanks for your help. Without such a kit, I can't buy the range.
