“We accidentally scratched the front portion of the stainless cooktop when replacing the burner grates. In order to remove the scratches, the cooktop must be a “non-coated” stainless steel. Is the cooktop coated stainless or not?”

• I assume you are talking about the front around the control panel. I believe it is a coated stainless steel. When purchasing our range that's what the sales person stated. On the cooking "surface" mine is enamel. Hope that helps.
