Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us. We hate to hear the process of removing the filter was unclear, and know that may have caused some concern. We would like to assist. The filter can be accessed for cleaning by removing the water reservoir. If you then reach into the top of the opening, the filter is there and can be easily removed from that position by simply sliding it down. Once it's been removed it can be cleaned by hand with warm, soapy water (we don't recommend putting it in the dishwasher). Once it has dried completely it can be replaced in the unit. We do also apologize if the manual was unclear; the information in the manual may be addressing the original design and will be updated in the future. We hope this information was helpful, but if you have any further trouble we are also always happy to help over social media. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very easy. Remove the water reservoir completely. You will find the filter at the top and back of the opening. Slide the filter down, remove to clean. Insert it back in the grooves and slide back in. Replace the water reservoir.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the filter is very easy to remove, clean and re-install. I’ve removed it twice so far and it only needed minimal cleaning.
