Hi - Thanks for choosing GE! We are happy to help. Set the humidity control to 45% or 50%. Allow at least 24 hours to achieve the humidity level. Take a look at pages 4 and 6 of the manual at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000443-1.pdf - It the unit is not collecting water, take a look at the following links for tips: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=35298 - DEHUMIDIFIER - NOT REACHING PROPER HUMIDITY LEVEL: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=35790 - If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I leave mine on 24/7 as it is in the basement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit is for removing water in the air. The temperature of the air going up doesnt mean the water content does. The number on the units display is for the humidity level, if this is going above 65% check to make sure the bucket is properly installed and that it is set to be on when the levels are above 45% for most cases.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.do not confuse the display on the unit with temperature. that is the percent of humidty you want to achieve. if the room has less humidity than your setting, it will not run. I recommend you run it around 50, which is what most people recommend for humidity in the house.
