I cannot get water to pump out of unit using drain hose. I have read that bucket must be removed for pumping to work and bucket must be in place for unit to operate. My old GE unit had a pump button. This one does not. Does the pump feature actually work? null

Hello - Thanks for your question; we are happy to help! The dehumidifier model ADHB50LZ does not have a pump. Dehumidifiers have a drain connection which can be connected to a standard garden hose (not included). This allows collected water to continuously drain to a floor drain. The unit drains by gravity, so the hose needs to be laying flat on the ground and should be cut to the shortest length possible. We hope tis helps. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA

Yes you should only have to connect the hose which is not included for the pump to drain out the hose
